The Brown Firm Congratulates Cameron Gore for Joining the Los Angeles Inner City Law Center Board of Directors

February 22, 2021 by Christopher Brown, Esq.

New partner expands his work fighting for marginalized communities and those impacted by structural inequity and discrimination.

The following is a statement from The Brown Firm, a historic African-American law firm in Northern Virginia specializing in civil rights, litigation, real estate, and commercial law matters. For additional media inquiries, please contact aurora@newheightscommunications.com.

WASHINGTON, D.C. (February 18, 2021) – The Brown Firm PLLC congratulates new partner Cameron V. Gore, Esq. on his recent appointment to the Inner City Law Center (ICLC) Board of Directors and its finance committee. Established in 1980, ICLC fights for the working-poor, immigrants, and other marginalized communities in Los Angeles. The organization focuses on housing rights and policy, working to end homelessness. The Brown Firm applauds ICLC’s decision to appoint Mr. Gore to its Board of Directors.

“I am grateful to be a member of the ICLC Board of Directors,” said Mr. Gore. “The ICLC’s non-profit mission is truly noble. The organization is based in Skid Row and is comprised of a high-performing team of dedicated lawyers, experts, and staff. They provide free legal services to the poorest and most vulnerable residents of Los Angeles County, whom are homeless or at risk for homelessness. The work of the ICLC helps bring about stability, justice, and a better life to individuals who deserve respect and dignity. It is my sincere hope that individuals seeking to make a positive difference for others consider making their time, energy, and donations available to the ICLC.”

ICLC carries a distinguished track record of success in fighting for its clients, having won $17 million in settlement awards in 2019, the product of over 21,000 pro bono hours of work. Serving over 6,000 Angelenos, ICLC strives to guarantee housing and dignity for all.

Mr. Gore’s work with ICLC aligns with the ideals that guide The Brown Firm, which is dedicated to ending police brutality and discrimination. Mr. Gore’s appointment to the ICLC Board of Directors is a welcome recognition of his experience fighting for those in need, and an opportunity to continue that work.
